With synchronisation (friends call it sync), you can group screens together so their content plays in time with each other. Whether youโre running a row of menu boards, or a dazzling multi-screen video wall โ this feature keeps everything in sync. Bye-bye mismatched playback. ๐
๐     Group any number of screens to play content together.
๐     Seamlessly transition content across multiple displays.
๐     Keep screens in lock-step with each file in your playlist.
Behind the scenes, sync can be powered by Fusion Signageโs cloud servers or a local server hosted on one of your devices โ giving you flexibility to choose what works best for you.
Synchronisation ensures consistent playback. Your messaging will stay sharp and polished across every screen. It also creates visual impact โ letting you design content that flows seamlessly from one screen to the next for an eye-catching effect. And best of all, itโs built for (screen) collaboration. Giving you the freedom to add as many screens as you need and have them all work together in perfect unison. How sweet. ๐
It's a simple set-up, but let's go through it together anyway. ๐
More of a read-learner? We've got a step-by-step support article right here for you.
What happens if a screen disconnects?
If you're on our cloud servers, the other screens will continue after a short wait โ the disconnected screen plays content independently. If you're on a local server, screens stay synced unless the server device goes offline.
What happens if my media items are different durations?
You can add media with different durations, but all screens will wait until the last one has finished before changing together. This wont be noticeable with still content, but a video will sit on the last frame. We recommend keeping a tight (and equal) duration-ship. ๐
Why are my screens in sync, but the content is out of order?
Make sure you have the same number of files in each playlist. Same number of files = everything synced and in order. ๐
Why are my screens lagging?
Syncing through our Sydney servers can sometimes cause a bit of lag โ especially if youโre on WiFi or located further away. Ethernet is your best bet for smooth playback. Or you can try a local server (please note that performance can vary depending on your hardware).
