Fusion Signage is super excited (hyped, psyched, titillated even!?) to announce the release of our latest feature – the tagging system.
Built to simplify the delivery of content to your digital signage network, while saving you a bunch of time.
Pro Licence holders can say hello to tagging as of today. 🙌
Currently, if you have a bunch of screens (let’s say 20+) and you want to display different content on each – you would need to create separate playlists for each. This is doable for 20, but what if you had 200? Or 2000?
We’re getting tired just thinking about it. 😴
Tagging can manage thousands of screens from one single playlist. All based on the rules you create for your media.
There's a tiny bit of set up involved, so here's how to get your virtual ducks in a row. 🦆
More of a read-learner? We've got a step-by-step support article right here for you.
You have 3 screens – one in Brisbane, one in Sydney, and one in Melbourne. Using our new tagging system, you would add a tag to each of the screens – QLD on Brisbane’s screen, NSW on Sydney, and VIC on Melbourne.
You create a single playlist and add 3 pieces of content – one for each location. Then, you click on the tag rule next to the Brisbane content, and say “only play if the screen has the QLD tag”. This file will now only play on Brisbane’s screen because it has that tag, and not the other two. With us so far? Nice. 😎
You can also join tags together using the AND / OR rule, and exclude content at the same time. This could be “QLD OR NSW AND PORTRAIT” to play on any portrait screens in QLD or NSW.
Any! You are in complete control of the tags you want to add to your screen – this also means any number of tags.
Whatever you need to make sure your content gets to the right place.
Empowered tip: the rule builder will only look up tags that have been assigned to screens (making your life even easier). 🙌
Questions? Keep an eye out for our Speed-Roller Training invitation. Because it's coming your way tomorrow. 👀
And remember – this is a Pro Licence feature only. If you'd like to enquire about upgrading to Pro, send us a email and we'll sort it out!
