Commercial Club Albury have recently upgraded their digital signage network to be run by Fusion Signage, with aims to modernise their venue while creating a more seamless process to update and manage their screens.

Their digital signage journey so far

Founded in 1902 with only 11 exclusive members, Commercial Club Albury is now an award-winning club with over 30,000 members, the biggest and eldest club in town, bringing to life the heart of Albury’s business and shopping district.

Managed and deployed by Macktronix, Commercial Club Albury have upgraded their digital signage network to be run by Fusion Signage; with aims to modernise their venue while creating a more seamless process to update and manage their screens. 

I chatted with Ben Harper, their IT Manager and learnt that, in the past, the club hadn’t been utilising their digital signage to it’s full potential – because their previous software was too time consuming. By addressing this problem and moving their network onto Fusion Signage software, they can now spend their time in growing their digital signage network; and, with that, ensuring their customers are getting the right messages, at the right time.

What existing digital signage does Commercial Club Albury have?

“27 screens across our: Reception, Gym, Stairways, Board Rooms, Meeting & Function Rooms, Menu Boards, Café Boards and Gaming Floor Signage. Majority of these are now on Fusion Signage, with plans to migrate the rest over as well.”

What were the key reasons for implementing Fusion Signage?

“Our previous digital signage solution was through our POS provider, but it was slow, clunky, a time waster. I wanted to get us off that and onto something that was more modern and agile.

Our Integrator, Gareth Mack from Macktronix who provides all our panels, recommended Fusion Signage and that’s where the conversation started. We did some research and it was a very quick realisation that Fusion Signage would be perfect for us. The fact that Fusion Signage has a background in digital signage and content creation resonated with us, as we want to ensure we have the best content in the most appropriate spots within our club.

We don’t want to rely on a one-stop-shop who claim to do everything, and then don’t do their non-specialty well. We wanted a provider that was fit for purpose and specialised in the area of digital signage content management. We wanted a purpose-built CMS, a modern and agile solution.”

What features benefit the club the most?

It has been very easy to use, and the speed in which I can update my content is second to none. Fusion Signage is a huge time saver – I couldn’t be happier! Fusion Signage had a lot more scope for us to get a lot more out of our digital signage network. And being able to push a website to our screens, means when virtual raffles and draws are running – it can instantly be seen across the club!”

Do you have plans to integrate more digital signage solutions?

“Yes, we do and looking forward to using Fusion to do so.”

How important is good content to Commercial Club Albury?

“Content is massive and an evolving process for us. We’re using some custom made Fusion Signage template for our “What’s On” messages in our reception and function rooms. It’s great to have consistency in our designs, which the Template Studio and custom templates allow us to have.”
